She is a child and family therapist by training specializing in working with children, adolescents and adults in their own lives as well as in their relationships. She has over 20 years of professional experience working with children, adolescents and families providing family and individual therapy, group and play therapy. She is skilled in working with individuals of all ages with: attachment disruptions, adoption / foster trauma, anxiety, autism spectrum and sensory processing disorders, bipolar, child abuse, depression, disordered eating, divorce, domestic violence, grief and loss, parenting, PTSD, and relationship conflict. She also specializes in working cross-culturally, is bilingual (English / Spanish), and is intimately familiar with the challenges of individuals navigating more than one culture. Throughout her career, she has worked as a front-line in-home, office-based and school-based therapist. She has supervised interns, therapists, and teams of clinicians. She served as a program manager for an intensive in-home team of therapists, and currently has her own private practice in Boulder, CO where she splits her time between her in-person work on the continent and her virtual work with the Pau Hana community.
She is thrilled and humbled to have been asked to take on some Pau Hana Clinical Director duties, assisting Dr. Erin and Damien Young in the leadership of this great community of therapists and administrators supporting the Hawaiian islands with high quality, heart-lead mental health support.
