Born and raised on the Big Island of Hawai‘i, Michelle, carries with her a profound understanding of the daily challenges faced by individuals and families in her community. With a Master of Social Work from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa and licensure as a social worker, she has dedicated her career to supporting teens, young adults, adults, geriatrics, families, and Native Hawaiians from a diverse range of cultural backgrounds.

Her approach to therapy is warm, grounding, and deeply collaborative. Drawing from mindfulness, narrative therapy, and solution-focused techniques, she creates a space where clients can slow down, notice what arises in their minds and bodies, and explore the stories they carry. She believes in helping clients reconnect with their inner wisdom and strengths, clarifying their values, setting meaningful goals, and taking intentional steps forward—especially when life feels overwhelming or uncertain.

Guided by the Hawaiian values of aloha, ʻohana, and mālama, she approaches her work with deep respect for each client’s unique story and cultural identity. These values inspire a therapeutic relationship built on mutual care and responsibility, where healing is not only an individual journey but one connected to family, community, and the land. Embracing the ʻōlelo noʻeau “He ola i ka ʻōlelo” — there is life in the spoken word — she honors the healing power of sharing stories and dialogue as a pathway to insight and growth. Her passion for this work comes from a heartfelt desire to help others see and embrace the best within themselves.

Through her therapy, clients often find empowerment and clarity, gaining a renewed sense of confidence to navigate their current challenges. Committed to ongoing growth, she continually seeks new knowledge and insight through education, supervision, and reflection, ensuring her practice remains thoughtful, effective, and culturally attuned.

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, spending time outdoors—whether hunting or at the beach—baking, and exploring the natural beauty of the Big Island. These activities nourish her own well-being and connection to the ʻāina, further inspiring her commitment to supporting others in their healing journeys.

For those ready to begin a journey of healing and self-discovery, she offers a safe and welcoming space—a place to be truly seen, heard, and supported.
