Samantha Bailo is a licensed therapist based in Hawai‘i who offers a compassionate, supportive space for clients to work through life’s challenges.
She has a Master's degree from the University of Hawaii, Hilo in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She received her undergraduate degree in Latin American studies from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Samantha is adept at working cross-culturally having lived in the Kingdom of Tonga for three years, and currently splits much of her time between Hawai'i, Micronesia, Japan, and Michigan.
She blends traditional therapy with mindfulness, yoga, and meditation, helping people connect more deeply with themselves and find balance in mind, body, and spirit.
She has training in Brainspotting, utilizes parts work, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which she weaves into her work to help clients process experiences on a deeper level, strengthen emotional regulation, and build lasting resilience.
She also has experience supporting clients in the LGBTQ+ community as an ally and advocate, as well as working with OCD, anxiety, trauma, and relationship concerns.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and client-centered, focusing on improving self-esteem and creating meaningful change. She believes in meeting clients where they are and walking alongside them as they move toward greater clarity, healing, and fulfillment.
